Palin in book: McCain aides kept me 'bottled up'

The rumors are true, according to Sarah Palin: The McCain-Palin campaign was not a happy family. In Palin's new memoir, "Going Rogue," she confirms reports of tension between her aides and those of the 2008 Republican presidential candidate, Sen. John McCain. Final Cut Studio 2 on Leopard, Known issues so far...

There had been different responses to the Leopard upgrade, concerning the effect it has on FCS2. One of the main advise (from people who have already "leoparded", is to completely WIPE your harddisk. Install Leopard on a clean disk, then reinstall FCS2. This was mentioned in the Apple discussion's forum. That seems to solve most of the "bugs /crash". AVCHD file conversion to Quicktime. Solution for now.

Have you all seen AVCHD files yet ? Those shoot to SD card or Harddisk camera are using m2ts, Mpeg 2 Transport Stream, file format. For now you can not edit AVCHD file directly in FCP.

I know there should be an update for AVCHD editing in FCP6.01.(LINK)

I found a $30.00 U.S. Dollars solution that allows you to edit AVCHD file in FCP, FCP Express and iMovie.

Blank DVD inserted into your Mac. How do you control which app to start ?

To change what to do with a blank DVD inserted in your Mac you can do the following.

1. Go to System Preferences. It is under the upper left corner Blue Apple.
2. Click on the CDs& DVDs

3. You can select what to do with a blank DVD. I use Open Finder most of the time.

Handy Programs to go with Final Cut Pro. What about you ?

Hello ,

The following is a list of program that I use with Final Cut Pro to help out when I need to deal with clients that have source material in Mpeg2 and Mpeg4 ( ##$%$#%! Don't like Mpeg2 ^%#@#$). Compressor is good dealing with conveting to Mpeg2 for final output but there are other tools that can take Mpeg2 to Quicktime etc.

The following list are free software or shareware. Check them out.
