FCP X , MOTION 5 AND COMPRESSOR4 INSTALLATION GUIDE
A few of our members have bought and installed Final Cut Pro X in the same hard disk as Final Cut Studio 3, resulting in deactivation of Final Cut Pro 7. Warning ! It is strongly recommended that you install Final Cut Pro X, Motion 5, and Compressor 4 on a Separate Start Up Disk that does not have Final Cut Studio already installed. Use Apple's preferred installation procedure when upgrading one version of Final Cut Pro or Final Cut Studio to the next. Use only the preferred method mentioned in this Apple Support link.

Final Cut Pro X and AJA
Final Cut Pro X is the latest update for Apple’s popular non-linear editing software. It features a new user interface and boasts new, exciting features for editors. However, the way editors interact with third party tools, like the AJA KONA cards, is different from the previous versions of Final Cut Pro. AJA has prepared a document that explains how editors can use AJA products with the latest version of Final Cut Pro. Please click here to download the PDF document.
KONA X Beta drivers are available for KONA users running Final Cut Pro X with KONA 3G, KONA 3, or KONA LHi in our Support Area. Users running Final Cut Pro 7 should use our KONA version 9.0.1 drivers. Before installing KONA X Beta software, ensure you thoroughly read the PDF mentioned above.
Final Cut Pro X, Motion 5, Compressor 4 and FxFactory 2.6 released
Alongside Apple’s release Noise Industries have released FxFactory 2.6.
This version of FxFactory makes our most essential visual effects available in Final Cut Pro X and introduces support for Motion 5. More than 140 effects, generators and transitions from FxFactory Pro are now available inside Final Cut Pro X. The upgrade is free for current FxFactory Pro customers. All our plug-ins continue to be available in previous versions of Final Cut Pro and other hosts, including the new Motion 5.
